All camps are open rain or shine. There’s plenty of indoor space and air-conditioning to run quality programs even on the worst of rainy days.

For the summer of 2013, LaGrange Summer Camp will house 35 of the most popular programs under the direction of Rob Misch. Programs will be vast in selection and satisfy almost every need.

DAY CAMP PROGRAMS
Has a variety of programs along with excellent facilities and an exceptional staff. Our top quality staff consists of Teachers, Coaches, Specialized Instructors, and qualified college and high school students. Children will be grouped according to age and ability in most camps. Swim will be offered to each camper 1 or 2 times per week (July 8 – August 16), weather permitting. Swimming will take place off-site at Freedom Lake, conveniently located just minutes away. Busing will be provided for all campers. Each camp requires that your child bring a swimsuit, towel, and water bottle. Children may bring their lunch from home and some camps may purchase their lunch at The Net Cafe, our on-site restaurant. All camp participants are required to have a Health Form, Swim Permission Form and Waiver Release Form filled out and handed in on the first day of camp. Please refer to each camp listing for special equipment needs and information.

SPORT CAMPS
Offers top-quality coaching with the area’s best Inter-Scholastic coaches and players. Specialized instruction, skill work and games will be the focus of each sport camp. Swim will be offered to each camper 1 or 2 times per week (July 8 – August 16), weather permitting. Campers will be bused to the beautiful Freedom Lake, just minutes away from Gold’s Gym LaGrange. Each camp requires that your child bring a swimsuit, towel, and water bottle. Children may bring their lunch from home and some camps may have the option to purchase their lunch at The Net Cafe, our on-site restaurant. All camp participants are required to have a Health Form, Swim Permission Form and Waiver Release Form filled out and handed in on the first day of camp. Please refer to each camp listing for special equipment needs and information.

HALF DAY CAMPS
All LaGrange Summer Camps are full day programs, with the exception of Soccer Camp and Camp X (Exposure). These camps will be offered weeks 6/25, 7/16, and 8/6. Soccer Camp will run 9:00am – 12:00pm and Camp X will run 12:00pm – 4:00pm. They can be combined to offer the full day option. Our camp staff will aid in the transfer from soccer camp into Camp X for those campers that choose this option. Participants should have sneakers to be able to participate in the afternoon activities and a lunch. Swim time is not offered to participants of these programs. All camp participants are required to have a Health Form, Swim Permission Form and Waiver Release Form filled out and handed in on the first day of camp. Please refer to each camp listing for special equipment needs and information

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM (CIT)
Under the guidance of a CIT coordinator, teens learn the skills needed to become a camp counselor. Participants will learn theories of child development, how to plan age appropriate activities and all other skills needed to become a competent counselor. The program offers course Levels I through III. Each program level will include 3 combined weeks of field work and class time. Weeks do not have to be consecutive. Levels II & III are designed to give more field experience and instructional work. Participants will receive 2 staff shirts and a name tag while participating in this program. Participants may also choose to stay during the Early/Late programs for free if they assist staff and help supervise the program. Teens will receive a certificate of recognition for each level they complete. Swim will be offered to each camper 1 or 2 times per week (July 8 – August 16), weather permitting. Participants in this camp are not guaranteed future camp employment at LaGrange Summer Camps.

EARLY/LATE PROGRAM (Extended Day)
LaGrange Summer Camp offers extended camp hours for parents that need it. Extended hours start at 7:00am and end at 6:00pm. When you register for this program you may take advantage of both the early drop off and the late pick up. This program is divided into 2 groups, Junior (ages 5-9 years) and Senior (ages 8-16 years). Fee applies.
